Slipper Cottage B&B was built in the 17th Century from golden Hamstone. It has recently been substantially renovated and the garden totally re-designed. MONTACUTE is only 1 mile from the main A303 (the main trunk road from London to the South West), and is about 18 miles from the M5 motorway.<br />
<ul><li>From London, Heathrow or Gatwick take the M3 to J8, then the A303 to Cartgate Roundabout (about 7 miles west of Ilchester), left onto A3088, after half a mile turn right into Montacute. </li>
<li>From the north or south take M5 to J25, then take the A358 towards Ilminster, left onto A303 for about 10 miles to Cartgate roundabout, right onto a3088, after half a mile turn right into Montacute. We are located on the left 100 yards before the church. It is the only house with a bay window. </li>
